I started because I didn’t like how I looked and was feeling so I’m like let me start another weightloss. Ive had weightloss journey failures in the past because I wasn’t mentally ready. When I embarked on this journey I had to get my mind on it and I started with baby steps. My biggest flaw is I’m very impatient, I want things fast and I had to learn to work on it. Even when I was loosing 10 pounds I’m like ‘that’s it?” and I began to get frustrated it about it and that got my mind all over the place. It wasn’t until I took a pic in three months after I started that I started to see the difference.
My biggest lesson is that don’t rush the process, everything you want to do takes time and just enjoy the journey. When I got off social media in November 2017, I started doing strength training and it was during that time, I began to just enjoy the journey. Strenghth training gave me the opportunity to look further in myself and really discipline myself. Starting with small pounds of dumbbells to now 12.5, shows that through time my body is getting stronger through consistency, patience and just enjoying the journey. I discussed before that the scale can be the biggest enemy and when I started I relied on it a lot and it was a confidence killer. My body has been the same weight for about a month now but the shape of my body has changed. So which means that the scale is a fucking lier and you gotta go how you feel and I feel GREAT. I had to learn how to end the toxic relationship between myself and the scale.
